Sinister Self/Less Trailer Released

“We offer humanity’s greatest minds more time to fill their potential.” It’s a nice line but underneath that forward-thinking PR dream of immortality lies the moral dubious and very mortal underworld at the heart of Self/Less – the new Sci-Fi thriller from visionary director Tarsem Singh (The Cell) in this, the first full trailer.

The film sees self-involved architect played by Academy Award Winner Ben Kingsley (Ghandi) who is dying of cancer undergo a procedure to put his mind in the body of a younger man, Ryan Reynolds (The Voices). However complications ensue and soon the old/young man learns the horrifying truth behind the mystery of how the company behind his renewal came across his new body.

So basically it’s John Frankenheimer / Rock Hudson 1966 thriller Seconds.

Self/Less has been through a string of release date changes; originally set to hit theatres last September, it was moved to February, then to April. Now it’s set to take up residence in your local megaplex on July 31, where it will be going against the mighty Mission: Impossible 5.

Staring Natalie Martinez (End of Watch), Matthew Goode (Watchmen), Victor Garber (Titanic), Derek Luke (Captain America: The First Avenger) and Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey) with a script from David and Alex Pastor (Carriers).
