Fathers, lock up your daughters…no seriously, lock them up as James Franco tries to steal away Bryan Cranston’s daughter in brand new comedy Why Him?
Cranston is Ned Fleming, an overprotective, loving dad who adores his smart, sensible daughter Stephanie (Zoey Deutch), who is studying at Stanford. But when he, his wife Barb (Mullally) and son Scotty (Grffin Gluck) go to visit her for the holidays, he discovers to his horror that she's dating Laird (Franco), an obnoxious, awkward and downright odd "internet zillionaire".
As Laird goes on what he thinks is a charm offensive, Ned gets downright offended when he starts to win over the rest of the Fleming clan.
Director John Hamburg wrote Why Him? based on a story by Jonah Hill and Ian Helfer, and it'll be out in the UK 26 December.
