Spider-Man Trilogy Plans in the Works

When Sony and Marvel struck a deal to bring everyone’s favourite friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man back to the MCU, fans were left wondering just how long would he be able to play with his Marvel buddy before the studio snatched him back?

Well, we now have an initial answer to that question thanks to Peter Parker himself, Tom Holland, who has confirmed they’ll be a trilogy of Spider-Man movies for this incarnation under the watchful eye of his twin masters.

“There is still a lot of room for Peter Parker and Spider-Man especially to grow in the next two movies. He’s definitely not the finished article by the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming and I really look forward to exploring the different ways he can grow up and go through puberty I guess. It’s going to be an exciting couple of movies," Holland said, before adding "yeah, there’ll be Spider-Man 2 and 3, it won’t be Homecoming 2 and 3.”

So there you have it, Spider-Man will be doing whatever a Spider-Man does within the MCU for at least another two movies (not to mention cameo appearances in other Marvel movies).

Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into cinemas on 7th July.
