Pebble Time Smartwatch Unveiled On Kickstarter

Just over three years ago Pebble Technology unveiled its first Pebble Smartwatch, which started on Kickstarter and gained over $10 million in funding. Today Pebble has revealed a successor; Pebble Time.

This new smartwatch is thinner, it's got a microphone and a color screen. It's also asking for your help on Kickstarter with a total goal of $500,000, but perhaps it isn't a surprise to reveal that it's already hit the $8,338,917 mark! With 30 days still left on the clock...

Pebble Time features a new operating system from the designers of webOS, which means the weather, your step count, reminders and notifications will all be streamed to your homescreen for easy access.

You can purchase one of these smartwatches on Kickstarter if you pledge $160, but you'll have to wait until May to receive it. If you don't want to get it now, you'll have to pay $200 directly from Pebble after the Kickstarter campaign finishes.
