It’s been reported before but here’s a quantum of confirmation from the brand new women of Spectre featurette – Léa Seydoux’s Madeleine Swann is the daughter of old Quantum agent Mr. White, played by Jesper Christensen, which puts that “kite dancing in a hurricane” tease from the trailer in a whole new light.

We also learn that Monica Buellucci’s Lucia is ‘an Italian widow with secrets’.

Unsurprisingly Spectre Director Sam Mendes is full of praise for his actresses: “The two women who Bond hooks up with, both have great mystery, they both have depths and for that you need fantastic actresses.”

So what do we know so far? Well according to the official synopsis Bond receives a cryptic message from his past which leads him on an investigation into the titular sinister organisation while, back home, M battles political foes for the very life of the secret service.

With Mendes back directing a script that has been written by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, Spectre sees Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris, as M, Q and Moneypenny respectively, with new recruits Waltz as the enigmatic Oberhauser, Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx, Stephanie Sigman as Estrella and Andrew Scott as Denbigh.

Spectre arrives in cinemas in the UK on October 23rd before heading off around the world on November 6th.
