Report: Nintendo Switch Launching Two SKUs, Starts At £200
According to mounting sources, Nintendo Switch will come in two flavours at launch with just the console and docking station starting at £200 in the UK.
UK retailer GAME will begin selling the Switch at £199.99 with the console featuring more internal storage and a game bundled together at a higher £249.99. Nintendo hasn't set a recommended retail price (RRP) for Nintendo Switch in Britain. For now the game included in the pack is unknown.
GAME will also apparently sell additional Switch Pro Controllers for £39.99. Nintendo are believed to be embracing a region-free environment for Nintendo Switch and will be keeping prices rather close in direct currency conversion.
These price ranges seem legitimate consider the less power Nintendo Switch has against rivals Xbox and PlayStation, and it keeps in line with Nintendo capitalising more on software over their hardware. The Canadian Toys R Us website listed the Switch for $349.99 CAD which would be equal to about $240 USD.
Nintendo Switch launches in March 2017 with the platform holder refusing to say much more until next year.
