Rumour: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 'Not A Launch Title'
It seems localisation for the upcoming open-world action-adventure The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a bigger job than expected, so no March launch.
Officially Nintendo has only given the new Legend of Zelda a 2017 release window but it was widely expected to capitalise on the launch of Nintendo Switch in March. Unless they're willing to move the console's release, it seems the adventurous Link will arrive some time later.
A Nintendo insider - a snitch, if you will - claims that localisation work is now scheduled to wrap up by December, and that means 'four-to-six months of testing' is required afterward so it would miss a March date.
Breath of the Wild is looking more like a Summer release title now. This all remains as rumour until Nintendo break silence and they're expected to talk more about Nintendo Switch and its games early next year.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is in development for Nintendo Wii U and Switch for 2017.
