CD Projekt RED has posted a special birthday artwork to mark the first anniversary of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt They also tease the new and likely final expansion: Blood and Wine.

The Witcher 3 was a big step forward for the studio as it was the first time they went 'open world', letting the player revisit most places during their time in the game. The original two games would lock you to new areas as they were presented because of the story.

The next expansion is Blood and Wine for The Witcher 3 and adds a huge new region that rivals Velen or the Skellige Isles in scale, and introduces a part of the world untouched by war. It is however harbouring some new and very deadly dangers, even for Geralt.

A new trailer has been released to tease more of the new region of Toussaint, as well as hint at the not-so-delightful terrors that stalk the vineyards and idyllic lifestyle of wine and debauchery. Can a White Wolf settle down for retirement here?
