Steven Spielberg Film Gets Title: Bridge Of Spies
The previously untitled cold-war thriller starring Tom Hanks has now been given the official title of Bridge of Spies.
The film is a dramatic retelling of the real life account of the prisoner exchange which took place on a bridge connecting East and West Germany. Indeed, the bridge became known as the bridge of spies following the event. In the film Tom Hanks plays lawyer James Donovan as he attempts to secure the release of US pilot Francis Gary Powers.
Bridge of Spies is set to be released by Touchstone pictures on October 16.
