First Teaser for Ben Wheatley's High-Rise

Ben Wheatley – director of Kill List, A Field in England, and Sightseers – returns with his fifth feature, an adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s High-Rise.

The sinister 81 second promo shows very little of the film but gives us a flavour of the 70’s setting and the dark heart at the centre of ‘Anthony Royal Architecture’, the fictional building firm which constructs the titular residential tower.

Beneath Tom Hiddleston’s voice over, the flares and facial hair, and the cheery disposition lie the dark dystopian horrors underneath: rotting fruit, lift failures and blood seeping into the swimming pool.

Hiddleston is in the lead for this one as Dr Robert Laing, and he’s propped up by a tremendous supporting cast that includes Jeremy Irons (as the architect, Anthony Royal), Sienna Miller, Elisabeth Moss, Luke Evans, James Purefoy, Reece Shearsmith, and Dan Skinner (aka Angelos Epithemou, Vic & Bob fans).

High Rise appears to be finally slated for a March 2016 release date.
