Men In Black reboot adding Women...In Black
Nod your heads as the black suits are comin’ once again as the Men In Black franchise joins the long list of properties about to be either remade or rebooted.
Previously, the rumours had the entire property going back to basics with a total reboot. However, now we’ve learned that it won’t just be men in black this time around. Producer Laurie MacDonald has told BBC’s Newsbeat that “there will be a prominent woman in black in the fourth [movie]”.
Furthermore, Will Smith may yet still be involved. "Never rule Will out", says co-producer Walter Parkes.
“We are quite early on in it,” he said. “We looked at the first three in retrospect as a bit of a trilogy. We tried to tell a story about those two characters and that relationship. It sounds silly because it’s a fun, science fiction comedy but when you work on these things, you try to find some thematic basis underneath it”.
The new Men In Black will be a “reinvention”, Parkes confirmed.
