Total War: WARHAMMER Officially Announced
Total War: Warhammer has been officially announced for PC!
The game will take the award-winning PC strategy series to a realm of epic high fantasy for the first time. It'll still be a combination of turn-based campaign strategy and real-time tactical battles, but this time with a bit of sorcery mixed in. Sega has also announced four factions in the game: the Empire, the Greenskins, the Dwarfs, and the Vampire Counts.
The rules of the Total War series have changed and with it will come gigantic monsters, flying creatures, legendary heroes, and storms of magical power on the battlefield, alongside thousands of warriors clashing in real-time tactical battles, unlike any other game in the series. Best of all, it will all be in your control.
The story will take place in the Old World, an unforgiving and treacherous place, filled with endless war and cunning alliances alike. Whichever race you choose to play as and however you seek conquest, you will be faced with a conflict that threatens to tear the very fabric of reality asunder.
The game has not yet been given a release date, but we do know that the release of the game will be followed by two additional standalone expansions. Sega claims it will be a trilogy when all combined that will "create the single largest Total War experience ever."
