Jeff Goldblum Joins Jurassic World Follow Up
Life has found a way. Jeff Goldblum is to return to the Jurassic Park franchise after signing on to reprise his role as Dr Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World 2.
Goldblum, who was the only major character from the original 1993 movie to return for the sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, will join returning stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in the follow up to Jurassic World reports Deadline.
The eagle eyed amongst you may have spotted that Malcolm was featured, stealthily, in the first Jurassic World – his book, God Creates Dinosaurs, is seen a few times in the movie.Directed this time by J.A. Bayona, the untitled Jurassic World sequel is penned by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, who also co-wrote the 2015 blockbuster that Trevorrow directed.
This will be the second time that Goldblum has returned to an iconic role from the 90’s after reprising his role as David Levinson in last summer’s Independence Day: Resurgence.
Goldblum, Pratt and Dallas Howard will be joined by Toby Jones, Rafe Spall and James Cromwell when Jurassic World 2 stomps into cinemas on June 8th 2018.
