Bradley Cooper to Star in War Drama Atlantic Wall
Bradley Cooper is to team up with The Accountant director Gavin O’Connor for war drama Atlantic Wall.
The story tracks a lone American paratrooper stranded behind enemy lines just days before D-Day, tasked with delivering intelligence critical to the outcome of the war and compelled to fulfil a promise to protect the young son of a murdered ally.
Production company Imperative Entertainment nabbed writer Zach Dean's concept when it was still just a pitch and have since developed the script. Cooper will star and serve as executive producer.
"We’re thrilled Imperative is bringing Atlantic Wall to life on screen with a talented filmmaker like Gavin," producer Dan Friedkin tells Deadline. "Bradley’s phenomenal track record speaks for itself. He’s perfect to portray our complicated, often reluctant hero. We can’t imagine better creative partners."
However, if you’re keen to see Cooper and O'Connor team up, there’s the small matter of Cooper’s ongoing commitment to making the new A Star Is Born. The pair aren’t likely start work on this until 2018.
