Earlier this year in March, Codemasters took to Twitter with a tease that they were looking to hire graphic programmers for a "DiRTy little game" that they were working on. Today, the developer shared with us what that DiRTy little game is and that it's available right now via Steam Early Access in the form of DiRT Rally.

DiRT Rally is looking to capture the essence of what makes rally unique – that sense of trying to remain in control of your emotions, as you hurtle along at breakneck speed, aiming to squeeze everything out of your car whilst knowing that one crash could irreparably harm your stage time...

As far as details go, although it is playable today, it is very early in development, but is expected to grow continuously throughout this year. There are 17 cars to choose from, with more on the way, of which you can race on 32 stages including events in Greece, Wales, and Monte Carlo. Daily, weekly, and monthly challenges will be put out to put your driving skills to their limit.

Also, simulation handling has been modified for the better. A brand new physics model has been developed that will simulate everything from the way the surface of the road behaves to limited slip differentials, giving each car a real-world rallying experience.

The option to hire and fire your repair crew will be made available so you can have the best team on hand when you seek league support. This feature will let you get together with friends and run your very own racing league, six of which you can join at any time and run how you want.

DiRT Rally is available right for $31.49 or £25. (10% off for launch week) It is expected to launch in full as late as Q1 2016. You can track its release to find out when you can get your hands on the full game.
