Avian Action Coming to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Rocketbirds 2: Evolution
The creator of Rocketbirds, Sian Yuen Tan, took to the official PlayStation Blog to announce their upcoming sequel: Rocketbirds 2: Evolution.
The past four years have been spent "looking at what people liked and disliked about the original". The developer has built upon the co-op mode with customisable characters and objectives which revolve around rescuing hostages in procedurally generated locations. You'll be able to take on this newly renamed 'Rescue Mode' alone or with friends.
Alongside Rescue Mode, updated visuals, improved controls, and deeper combat mechanics, Rocketbirds 2: Evolution will also have a rebuilt multiplayer experience with a lobby system, where players can drop in/drop-out at anytime.
The game will also feature cross-buy so, if you own both platforms, you'll be to pick up where you left off on the other. The game does not have an official release window but, if you're interested, be sure to track the game with our online calendar.
