After an unending wait, Inafune's Kickstarted Mighty No. 9 has an officially set release date. The game will be heading to all major consoles, as well as PC, Mac and Linux this September and, due to a brand new partnership with publisher Deep Silver, the game will also hit store shelves with a physical release for Xbox One, Wii U and Playstation 4.

The partnership between the developer and Deep Silver will allow the production of new DLC, localisation and voice over support for French and Japanese languages. This DLC will include an all new stage featuring rival character 'Ray'.

Becoming a playable character upon completion, Ray will have unique abilities and brand new mechanics to add replay value. This DLC will be available to purchase soon after release but will be free to Kickstarter backers as well as part of the physical release as standard.

Mighty No. 9 will be available this September 15 in the US and September 18 worldwide, barring handheld editions of the game which will be available at a later date.
