Ridley Scott has confirmed that Noomi Rapace won’t be come back for Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant.

Despite reports to the opposite, Scott confirmed that Dr Elizabeth Shaw won’t be back to fight of aliens and study our place within the universe. When asked by a Daily Mail journalist whether she would return, he said: “No," before adding, "We're still casting the main roles."

This marks a major change from the official information provided by Fox in November 2015, where Noomi Rapace was among the three actors confirmed for Alien: Covenant - the others being Michael Fassbender and newcomer Katherine Waterston.

In fact, the only name that has so far been mentioned is Fassbender’s David, who, we have to assume, has become separated (well, other than losing his head) from Dr Shaw since the end of Prometheus.

This doesn’t mean she won’t return for future trips to alien worlds (Scott has already spoke of a new trilogy of Alien movies) but, for now, it seems Noomi Rapace won’t be back any time soon.
