Persona 5 Release Delayed

Hearts will break as Persona 5 won't be making its scheduled Valentine's Day release on February 14th, as it instead gets pushed to the beginning of April.

The game is coming west but is taking a bit of an extra detour before arriving, but that does mean extra time for polish as well as including the original Japanese voiceovers, which comes in the form of free DLC.

"Persona 5 will have dual audio for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4," said Atlus. "We’re including it as DLC for logistical reasons, but it will be free, for forever. People have been asking for this since P5 was announced, and through a herculean effort from Atlus, we’re going to be able to deliver it. We’ll have more details on the specifics later, but dual audio will be available for the game at launch."

Set in Japan's capital Tokyo, we follow a student transferred to the fictional Shujin High School following probation; they attacked a stalker. As the year plays out the student and their friends discover their Persona abilities and take on the guise of a vigilante group known as the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. Supernatural foes need defeating and the Palace realm awaits to be explored.

Persona 5 releases on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 April 4th, 2017. The original launched in Japan back in September.
