New to the Uncharted series? Here's all the relevant information you'll need to know before heading into fortune hunter, Nathan Drake's latest adventure - Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - (PS3, 2007) - In the title that started it all, we meet Nathan Drake, an adventurer on an expedition to find pirate Sir Francis Drake's coffin buried beneath the ocean. From the very beginning, we're introduced to Elena, a journalist covering his story and claims that Sir Francis Drake is an ancestor of his.

What he finds inside the coffin will eventually lead him to discover El Dorado, a.k.a. The Golden Man, a large golden sarcophagus weighing over 500 pounds. It's an uncovering that will require his best friend and old mentor, Victor "Sully" Sullivan to tag along on.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - (PS3, 2009) - After seeing what looked to be a promising romantic relationship between Elena & Drake has been decimated in the sequel. In Uncharted 2, Elena gets temporarily replaced by Chloe Frazer, a woman with just as much thievery in her as Drake. By the time the love triangle has run its course and the mythical city of Shambala, hidden in the Himalayas, has been uncovered, Nathan realizes his true feelings lie with the journalist.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - (PS3, 2011) - In the third entry, we realize that Elena & Drake have either been engaged or tied the knot (it's never made entirely clear), but either way, Nathan's lust for adventure has caused them to split. Elena has left the lifestyle of murder and treasure seeking behind her, but Nathan can't give it up just yet. Nathan is left to work with Sully and Chloe on this one, however, he eventually needs Elena's credentials. It's an expedition to find Iram of the Pillars, a.k.a. the Atlantis of the Sands, in the heart of the Rub' al Khali desert that brings the two back together again before the credits begin to roll.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss - (Vita, 2012) - A prequel to Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Although she's never mentioned in Uncharted 4, it should be noted that Nathan works with Marisa Chase, the granddaughter of an archaeologist gone missing, to find yet another legendary lost city, hidden somewhere in the temple ruins of Central America.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - (PS4, 2016) - In what is said to be the last run for Nathan Drake, players will discover that he has a brother, Sam. After Sam is threatened in a life or death situation to find the long lost treasure of pirate Henry Avery, Nathan Drake will come out of fortune hunting retirement in an attempt to save his brother's hide.
