Phil Lord and Chris Miller to Helm The Flash

With two of the most successful films of 2014, 22 Jump Street and The Lego Movie under their belts, Phil Lord and Chris Miller pretty much have their pick of any project in Hollywood – with Warner Bros. apparently courting them for their latest comic book venture, The Flash.

While their names have already been attached to the mooted Jump Street/Men in Black crossover movie – as well as another Ghostbusters movie, set after Paul Feig’s all-female reboot and the Channing Tatum-Chris Pratt outing, Latino Review report that the studio is after the pair to helm one of its upcoming movies within the DC Cinematic Universe - The Flash.

The standalone adventure is currently positioned for release on March 23 2018 and already has Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) attached in the lead role.

Whether or not there is any weight behind the story, it’s an interesting choice and hopefully they can inject a sense of fun into the rather sombre, brooding DC film cannon.
