The spawn of legendary horror director George A. Romero is working on a competitor to Day Z titled Romero's Aftermath.

Aftermath tasks an open-world of players to create a society and economy post-zombie apocalypse. You'll need to scavenge for weapons, supplies, and crafting materials throughout various zones and choose to become a civilian, a trader, a protector of peace, a ruthless bandit, or a combination of them all.

The game is currently in open beta offering a host of features such as the ability to liberate a town after disposing of all remaining zombies, crafting, radio tower control, base building, crop harvesting, and PVE/PVP servers depending on how you want to play.

The game currently advertises itself as 'Free to Win' and is available for PC only.
