If you haven't seen Mad Max: Fury Road, stop what you are doing and go and see it. It's amazing.

You still here? I said go! Immediately!

Been? Well I can tell by that shell-shocked look on your face that's it's just blown your mind; so you'll be pleased to hear that director George Miller wants to do it again.

The Australian filmmaker joined Twitter this weekend, and used the social media tool to announce that we should expect more Mad Max stories in the future.

Following on from his tweet Miller went on to reveal to The Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith(via The Playlist) that he already has a potential title in mind.

Get ready for Mad Max: The Wasteland.

"We've got one screenplay and a novella, said Miller. "It happened because with the delays [on Fury Road], and writing all the back stories, they just expanded."

As reported in CinemaBlend, Mad Max: Fury Road has taken the world by storm - locking in a 98 percent on Rotten Tomatoes - and it has translated to success around the globe. In America, the film opened in second place behind Pitch Perfect 2 but still made a respectable $44.4 million.

However, It was internationally that the film really took off. The film managed to pull in $65 million from foreign territories, meaning that it already has a $109 million total. This is actually more than Pitch Perfect 2 had made in the same time frame, having made $108 million so far.

In 2010, plans were in place to make Mad Max 5 - titled Mad Max: Furiosa; its hard to say if these are the same plans considering we now know The Wasteland is his next destination.

What's more Miller also spoke of a failed Anime project that would have told the back story of Charlize Theron's Furiosa.

So could we expect more from the post apocalyptic pair? Will, as rumours have indicated, they get their own spin off movies? What is The Wasteland?

Whatever the future holds, there's still plenty of gas left in the Mad Max tank.
