A 28-year old Siberian man is suing Bethesda Game Studios after he played Fallout 4 for three weeks during which his wife left him, his employer fired him, and his health began to deteriorate.

After seeing the game on an advertisement, the man downloaded Fallout 4 on to his computer. If he knew that the game could be so addictive, he "would have become a lot more wary of it. [He] would not have bought it, or [he] would have left it until [he] was on holiday".

During this three week stint, the man skipped work and stopped eating or sleeping properly. He's now attempting to sue the developer for 500,000 roubles, amounting to around $7,000 for emotional distress. The law firm representing the man has stated they will "see how far we can go regarding this case."
