The film is a feature adaptation of Marty’s 2016 short of the same name. The story is set in the world when the world’s hottest (and most expensive) commodity is ‘renewal’ – a procedure to rewind your body’s biological clock back to its prime. Brosnan plays an ad-tech engineer about to retire at age 70 after a lengthy career. Not wanting to lose him, his company pays for him and his wife Alice to ‘renew’. While she emerges in her 20s, his procedure goes tragically wrong and his ageing accelerates rapidly. With weeks to live, he sets out on a more dangerous procedure to save him and uncovers the dark origins of the ‘renewal’ technology along the way.
