Laine is a fugitive who is desperate to avoid being found by the law. She thinks that she has found a saving grace when she stumbles into The Frontier, a motel and diner in the middle of the desert far away from most of society. Luanne, the owner, offers Laine a job, and she readily accepts it, figuring that she can lay low in the middle of nowhere and avoid getting caught. She soon discovers, however, that this place she has stumbled into is a trap of its own. Before long, she will be plotting ways to escape The Frontier.
