PORSCHE 356 A/B/C
With body revisions that modernised and prettified the looks, more civilised interiors, and engines increased to 1600cc (although there were still 1300s for some markets), Porsche’s 356 hit the big time and sales more than doubled. ‘Super’ means more power, along with higher prices than those quoted here. The 356B added twin-choke carbs and some styling revisions, the most obvious being larger bumpers and front bonnet chrome. The 356C added disc brakes at last and the lowest powered engine was now 75bhp, up from the 60bhp of the 356B ‘Normal’.
