MG Magnette MkIII/IV
With a stable full of marques, BMC used its quota to the maximum with the Farina saloons. Few would have thought the staid and podgy B-Series powered car was a suitable basis for a new-age MG Magnette, but with a twin carburettor set-up and a wood and leather lined interior, they just about managed to pass it off. Later MkIVs are the ones to have with their 1622cc 68bhp engines providing just enough performance to keep up with the flow. Today, these cars are still readily available for relatively little money, and provide plenty of enjoyment.
