Although the E-type coupé was the fastest and most useful of the breed, it’s the Roadster that attracts by far the most attention these days. The underpinnings were well-considered and stiff enough to stave off the worst effects of scuttle shake, and that meant it was just as effective to drive as the Coupé. Hugely popular in the USA as well as Europe, and a high survival rate means that there are still plenty around, and that keeps values lower than they would be had the badge on the bonnet been Italian or German.
