FERRARI 365 GTB/4 Daytona
One of the legendary Ferraris, not least because it held the title of World’s Fastest Production Car for some time at 174mph. That was all made possible by the quad-cam 4.4-litre V12 with its bank of six twin-choke Weber carbs – good for 352bhp in street trim. And though built as a road car, privateers were still racing them successfully as late as 1979. Headlamps were initially fixed behind a Perspex nose, but after complaints they were changed for pop-up lights in 1970. Nearly 1400 were built – a lot for a top-end Ferrari.
