2018 Rolls-Royce SUV
An artist's impression of what an SUV by Rolls-Royce could look like. By grafting styling cues from the Phantom and the Ghost upper-luxury sedans onto an SUV body, BMW's boutique brand aims to create an SUV that would make the Range Rover and the upcoming Bentley SUV appear tastefully modest. There will be no vehicle better suited to clear the road ahead of it. Except, perhaps, for a chain-gun-equipped Hummer H1 or six-wheel-drive G-wagen.
As a sibling of the upcoming BMW X7, the Rolls-Royce SUV would share the Bimmer’s latest technology and assistance systems, but it would temper that modernity with traditional touches such as hand-finished wood and leather. We doubt the Rolls-Royce SUV will offer three-row seating; instead, two rear “business-class” seats—a three-passenger bench will likely be available, too—will offer maximum personal space and opulence.
